I was selected by Lancaster University and funded by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development to work with their media and communications team on coverage of the large 2016 Council Meeting.

As part of this project, I had to attend a number of talks on sustainability in business and write articles to summarise them. I was required to interview participants of the Leadership Program to produce a feature article, as well as a number of short testimonials. My most daunting task was interviewing over 10 major figures of major companies – including CEO of Unilever, as well as prominent figures from Nestle and Toshiba.

As well as being a great opportunity to practice my journalistic skills, learn about sustainability in business and meet amazing people – it was also fantastic to immerse myself in the culture of India. It was certainly a unique experience sitting in the back of an auto-rickshaw in a suit as I travelled into the Conference Centre every morning!
